I am wondering if people can give me some clarification on some news I am being told by various sources. I heard that a police office of police are going to life a ban to let pedophiles roam free the State Fair this month even though in the past couple of years there have been ones arrested for sneaking in. Not just for sneaking in, but one used a hovering drone to watch/record people and the other was impersonating someone to talk to kids. And yet I am told they want to just let them in freely even though incidents like this happened?

I wanted to get some input from other local residents whoa re more up to this type of news. As it is, if that sheriff office lifts the ban, our kids are NOT going.

Thanks.

I doubt they will lift the ban. It does seem like a crazy idea though. Either way my kids are always attached to me at these types of events.

I guarantee that there have always been pedos at the fair. The only difference is whether or not they're on the registry. So the ban is nothing more than a false sense of security.

Watch your kids. Know where they are and who they're talking to.

The sheriff has no intention of lifting the ban.

Quote:
Despite the efforts of NCRSOL, Wake Sheriff Gerald Baker is holding firm.

"Sheriff Baker wants to assure fair attendees, especially parents bringing their children, that this law will be stringently enforced," said WCSO Chief Legal Advisor Rick Brown. "There will be increased presence in the children's area of both uniformed and plain clothes deputies and other law enforcement officers. The sheriff is committed to continue making this great family tradition a safe one."

Good, don't lift the ban. We are just fine with the ban.

Individuals like me, we see most people as the sinful threats they are. In a society getting comfortable with the wrong thikings, etc. Just, a bit more relaxing when you have less threats to worry about. Like in battle, the more targets you got to deal with, the harder it is. As a parent, the less to worry about, the easier to watch out for other potentials.
Thanks for the info, all.
