Troxler issued a non-denial denial. Folks, sign the petition!

Note also that NCDA would kick the Interfaith Food Shuttle, Meals on Wheels, and Food Runners Collaborative -- three of the best non-profit entities in the Triangle -- off the land that the NCDA leased to them 15 years ago. The non-profits raised funds to build their joint facility on that leased land.

Just signed it. Thanks for sharing the info and link on this. And here's hoping Troxler is forced to back off this stupid idea.

This upsets me to no end. I signed the petition and wish I could sign it a few more times.

Added my name to it.

Typical Republican position. Say that it's going to "help" the farmer or littleman when it doesnt.

How about instead of developing part of the farmers market into an apartment complex (or multiuse, whatever you call it) you expand the sales area so MORE farmers can participate. More farmers = cheaper annual dues = more customers

I read a comment that troxler said something along the lines of "we wont kick anyone out, but our leases are below market rate so we might raise them a lot". As if farmers are rolling in the dough...

Thanks for the heads up. Signed and shared.

May I suggest that you also post this on the other NC City-Data forums? I'm confident that many residents in areas outside The Triangle would be against this.

so you don't understand what this is about?

There's absolutely ZERO plans to get rid of the Farmer's Market.
