I'm writing to get info on where to find beginner horse riding lessons for my daughter. Anywhere near West Cary (Wake /Chatham Co. border) would be great. She is an absolute beginner and we are not looking anything formal yet with horse shows. We also do not own a horse so we would need to use a horse at the facility for lessons. Would totally drive to find quality & affordable price lessons. Any info anyone could pass on would be great! Thanks!!! ;-)

Try Chadale farms in cary, they have horses for students as well as horses for lease. The trainer, Heather Squires, is great. http:\\www.chadalefarms.com

You can try Anita Quinn at sunrisesporthorses.com - Home. She is very affordable and is perhaps one of the most honest horse trainers I have ever met. She is also patient and willing to work with whatever "speed" your daughter may need (i.e. if your daughter needs to go very very slow she will accomodate whatever needs).

Lynn Gallup in New Hill offers lessons on Paso Fino Horses (gaited). She's got lesson horses available, that are very calm and good with beginners of all ages. You'll have to call or email for current prices, but here is her website:
