Are there places that take cooked food donations? (events, friend)

Is there any place in the Triangle that accepts donations of cooked food?

We've just come back from an event with a gigantic tub of noodles that a friend pushed on us.

Fitting all of it into the fridge is going to be a real pain and we're going to have to take out a lot of other stuff to get it in there. We will not be able to finish this even over a few days. And it would be a total shame having to waste this food.

Please help!

The Interfaith food shuttle does but it needs to be arranged ahead of time and the food is usually picked up directly from caterers/dining rooms. There is too much liability after food leaves the premises.
But hey, I have defeated the odds of food poisoning many times if you want to donate grand food gala leftovers directly to me!

I've only heard this by rumor, but you may have luck with the USO at RDU.

Yep.. I have had events and called these folks for left overs. Its the only one I know.

Next time you have leftover cooked food...email us and first one to get over there gets it!!! It would be helpful if you let us know right before dinnertime!
