Sofas & Seats on Glenwood
Anyone shop here for a sofa (or a seat)?
Heard some good things about pricing and options (as well as the fact that they make things in 10-14 days)
Any other decent manu-tailers around here? Places where you can pick a shape and a fabric...I'm not too in to Ethan Allen and Thomasville etc...too much $$ and I'm too fickle.
Heard that most things from Sofas and Seats can be had under 1000 for a decent sofa...$1500 for a sectional or set.

I highly recommend Ecko, which is on Glenwood, just west of the Lynn Road intersection. They are very stylish - and reasonable - and they offer what you're asking for. Plus, they offer very good service.
My first post. Woohoo.

The Bassett Direct store had some great sofas as well - we just looked yesterday. Many of them are tagged "simply yours" which means you can customize fabric, add or delete skirts etc.

Thanks for the suggestions, all, but the important thing to me is price and I've been told that Sofas/Seats is priced below 1k for a sofa...which is not something I've seen from Basset and those types - is this incorrect?
Thanks again!

I agree...we purchased our sectional there and were able to choose the color, pillow patterns (6) and it is a large sectional (seats 9) and it was under 1k. Great service as well and they make to order.

For those of you providing suggestions, can you also tell me what your delivery time was from purchase to in-home?
Thanks!

I bought my sofa and loveseat set from sofas and seats. I thought they had the best value on glenwood ave...spent the day driving from one end to the other and actually went into every store...i think there's a total of 30.
was able to get same day delivery on the stuff they had in stock, i later ordered the matching recliner which took about 4 weeks.

Unfortunately, the sofa + loveseat that I ordered there did not last long. After about 3 years of use, I had to buy new ones. They were very comfortable, but after 3 years, the fabric started coming off at the seams; it started pilling and basically looked like a much older hand me down set. So, I wouldn't recommend going there.

Bassett has a 55% of the price sale Thursday only. Pick your own fabric, cushion, arms,etc...we shopped around and it was the best deal for what we wanted, of course there is better furniture out there but it wasn't in the price range for us.
