Sweetie and I drove by this evening and saw signs, "Now Hiring," and "Opening Soon," Ocean Grille.

It appears that Mamma Mia bit the dust. Or walked the plank...

That Apex store will never close....but be warned, the reason behind that is because it is a HUGELY popular place for the Apex High students to go for lunch on the weekdays. My son went there and the lunchtimes where upperclassmen (11th and 12th graders) are allowed to go off campus for Lunch are 10:30-11:10 and 12:05-12:45 so you may want to avoid those times if you want to avoid a larger and younger crowd. They have some really great pizza and pasta on the buffet for a good price (hence the reason its so popular with the teens).

Well, I'll be. We've had a CD Meet-Up right at Momma Mia's, and didn't even know it.

I'm sorry to hear the one in Cary is closing. My husband and I liked the place quite a bit. They hired a wonderful chef about a year ago, and he was doing some nice specialty items.

I didn't even know there was another Momma Mia's in Apex. Thanks for sharing that.

You know, I seem to recall the owner (I think he was the owner? nice, dark-haired fellow from Naples) saying something about a new restaurant. Do you think the Ocean Grille is his place? He's maybe just changed the menu?
