Looking to get a new whip. Just curious if anyone personally has had any positive or negative experiences at the local dealerships and who they worked with. So far AutoPark, Southpoint, and Sanford are the closest to me. TIA
Don't have Honda recs BUT I will say dealerships outsdie Raleigh may have lower doc fees and lower prices. We went to Kenly Chevrolet and they were $220 less doc fees and lower prices. Just a thought may be worth going out to Sanford or further.

Over the years, I have bought/dealt with Leith and Autopark. Both were fine and typical of car dealers. Today, I would first try Costco or one of the car buying services. Clark Howard has a nice write up on how to do most things on-line. https://clark.com/cars/how-buy-new-car/
I'll look into Clark Howard. Thanks for the advice. The only authorized Costco member dealership close to me is southpoint which unfortunately appears to have a ton of bad reviews when it comes to their service dept - https://www.dealerrater.com/dealer/C...-review-21841/.
Search vehicle inventories for about a 100-mile radius.
Look for the stock number you want.
Email and ask for out the door quote on a certain stock number.
Also, ask for a quote on a service loaner courtesy car that has never been titled!
Gather 3-4 quotes.
Avoid TrueCar; dealers have to pay to get the leads and then add it to what you pay!
Appreciate the info. Unfortunately I'm purchasing a 2020 Civic SI so I already know there is very little wiggle room on this car due to it being a high demand low inventory vehicle.
However, the original question was about the experiences of the dealerships in this area so if you've purchased from a Honda in this area, let me know!

My boss went to a Honda dealer in Sanford a couple years ago just to window shop and they gave her such a good deal on the vehicle she had in mind she bought it on the spot. This is not a stupid woman, and she ran it by the "in the know" guys at the office and they told her she did get a great deal.
My wife bought her last Honda in Asheboro. Her car had died, she needed a new one, and they were the only dealer with the color she wanted. We knew what we were willing to pay before we showed up, and the transaction went smoothly. Was it absolute bottom dollar? Probably not. Was it a low-stress fair deal? Yep.
