*Birthday Ideas for 2 yr Old?
My daughter is turning 2 this June. Last year grilled/ had cake by the community pool - which was nice- but this yr. looking for something more fun in the Cary or Raleigh area. Will probably be just a few kids ages 4-7y. Any ideas?

Some of the recent birthday parties we went to were:
Little Gym
Apex gymnastics
Pump it up
Museum of Life and Science
I bet the Marbles museum has birthday packages as well
Have fun

My son just had 2. They don't know whats going on at that age- we had a nice party at home with his little friends and family, let the kids run around the backyard and play and kick the ball and eat cake and ice cream!

I'm with musicalzoo on this. A 2 year old does not care where he is for his b-day. He gets nothing "more" out of some expensive staged thing than he would get at home with some family friends. Save those things for 4+ (if at all. I'm a big fan of parties where people do the old fashioned games which kids never get to do any more...pin the tail on the donkey, a good old pinata, maybe the peanut push with the nose...)

When my daughter was that age, we invited her friends and we went to a Mcdonalds that had a HUGE playground. We brought a cake and ordered food for the kids we brought along. It was great and a place where the kids were contained in a child safe environment.

I agree with the make it simple approach, especially at this age. We had a party at home for my daughter who turned 2 in December. We bought some jungle themed balloons, a few decorations, a cake and invited some friends over and it worked out great. If you are set on going somewhere else, another simple place that we attended for a party was Jumpin Beans in Cary. The kids bounced for 30 minutes, we ate cake and ice-cream and it was over in an hour-just enough, not too much.
Good Luck!

A friend had their daughter's party at a Raleigh fire station. The station hosted it all, set everything up, and cleaned up afterward. And it didn't cost her a dime! She just brought the cake, ice cream, party gifts, and decorations.
