Are you planning on making a top ten list for:
"funniest posts"
"best reputation"
"best use of hotlinking/non .jpg related" for the upcoming meet and greet too Mike?

I don't see how the Washington, D.C. Metro Area was left off the list. They should be number 1. Regardless of the state of the economy, the Feds are still at it. Even during the Great Depression.

Great point. That was one of the reasons my husband and I moved to DC from Chicago--we felt it was pretty recession proof. Glancing at the article, my guess is it didn't make it because of expensive depreciating housing.

Default Raleigh ranks tops for recession proof areas to live

Just read an AOL aritcle ranking Raleigh in the top three recession-proof places to live in all the USA. Cited job growth and steady rises in real estate prices. Also, a very strong tax base with taxes exceeding demand. Good for you folks. Show them how it is done!

Actually yes in an indirect way it does. Wake county reduced property taxes by 22%. That is almost unheard of.
