Has anyone ever been to this zoo in Wake Forest?

I thought that closed down a few years ago? I have been and it was nice, but I seriously thought they closed!

There is a great family zoo in Coats, NC named Noah's Landing. My sons went there to zoo camp last summer and now they are Junior Zoo Keepers and get to go behind the scenes. Of course, there are not nearly the number of animals as Asheboro but it is hands on and the people who run it are wonderful.

Tried to go to that zoo north of Wake Forest and yes it is closed.
Been to the Asheboro zoo and it was nice. Went last July and it was hot as the Sahara desert in the winter! But it did not deter a good time. Animals were pretty much sleeping due to the heat or the fact they didn't much care we wanted to see them... But lots to see and do there, worth the trip if your into zoos. |

You may want to check out the Carnivore Preservation Trust in Pittsboro. It's small and only open for tours on the weekends, but it's really a great place to learn about rescued cats.

We'll have to check it out!

Neither of these are zoos, but they might interest you, Beckycat.
