Check around colleges. When they buy new computers, the boxes are great! I have used HP Compaq Dell and Gateway boxes and they hold up better than the ones in the store!

You can often find many in the loading docks on campuses. We toss so many sturdy boxes with packing material (foam and vermiculae) in the science buildings. All the chemicals and biomedical supplies we use come in high quality boxes.
We are moving to Raleigh next week by a professional mover and will have hundreds of boxes that I would rather someone come and get to re-use, rather than end up in the trash somewhere. Direct message me and we can set up a way for you to come get some if you still need them.
Try Target and Walmart, just call Friday pm and ask for the night manager, ask them to hold some for you. They restock Friday night and have tons of boxes of all sizes. You can even tell them the approx size you want
I've seen a few places to get them from online and am considering ordering from. One is overnight boxes . com and the other is used cardboard boxes . com . There are others, but thought I'd ask here. The shipping is free.
Thanks.
i second u-haul --they have boxes that you can purchase esp. the odd sizes that large items such as tv's , large tools etc would fit in--they also have an area where used boxes are brought in that are free to all--if you are using a moving company be sure the boxes have a stamp on the bottom(inked marked circle) that tells how much weight a box will tolerate . we found our boxes at supermarkets etc. nice and sturdy. u-haul also sells tape that has individual rooms marked on it --such as ..kitchen , bedroom 1 etc..color coordinated---saw that alittle to late for us to use but looked like a great idea.
good luck with your move
Have you checked out Costco or Costco.com? Online they have a variety of prepackaged quantities and they are sturdy.
