We usually buy our steaks from either Trader Joe's or Harris Teeter. I find TJ's steaks to be a little too lean. The last few steaks we've had from Harris Teeter have been excellent (as good as Ruth Kris, IMHO). Usually they have some good ones on special. I think we paid $5.99/lb for angus filet a few weeks ago.

For pork... you might try the Nahunta Pork Outlet at the farmer's market. They've usually got great deals. I'm pretty sure there's a different special each week too. They've got a lot of bulk frozen veggies, like you'd find in amish country, if you've got plenty of freezer space. Seems like they've got odd hours though, so I'd call ahead of time to get the hours just to be safe. The one at the farmer's market is fairly small, so if you're really planning on stocking up or least getting a good feel for everything that they have there, I'd plan to go early to shop.

I try to buy most of my ground beef, chicken, pork and hot sausage at Fresh Market.
They ground the beef daily. Try to find a local grocery store that does this anymore. It all comes in prepackaged from a distribution center ! Even Lowes Foods does this now !
On October 16th I purchased a package of ground chuck from Target. It was fine. However, I noticed it had a sell/use by date of OCTOBER 27th ! I couldn't believe it. Now I understand why I've bought ground chuck & its all slimy and smelly when I bring it home.. (straight to garbage in this case).
Last week I paid:
$3.99/pound ground chuck
$4.49/pound ground round
$3.99/boneless chicken breasts
The best kept secret in Raleigh for fresh meats is Larry's Supermarket. It's on the corner of Milburnie Rd. and Raleigh Blvd. They got it all...."sho nuff"
