My husband and I are looking to buy in Raleigh; my husband works off of the Jones Franklin Rd/Capital Center Drive area, and we want to be within 20 minutes of his work.We are not from Raleigh and would love some help finding a neighborhood. We are looking for something less than 180K, which I understand limits our options. We are trying to find a townhouse or house and would prefer to have a garage...but could give that up. The age of the home is not important if it is a well-maintained neighborhoodBasically, our main priority is to like our neighborhood and be close to his work.We would like a neighborhood that is well-maintained, family-friendly, and safe.Any experts on Raleigh out there that could give us some suggestions on what neighborhoods to start looking in? Thanks!

Yes, your options are a little limited, but there are detached and townhomes in nice areas within 20 minutes of Capital Center in both Raleigh, Cary, and Apex.
With garages, and under $180,000.

Toss out the garage, and there is a great variety of choices.

Try Meadowood Crossing, Renissance Park, villages of tryon maybe thistledown.. I'd look in Cary and drive a little farther.. there is one single family home in Cambridge Forest that might work if you don't mind older.
