Hi,
i have a problem. My car's Stereo got locked up and is asking for the code. Since i dont have to manual with me, i am not able to find the radio code for it. I heard from my friends that with the Stereo's S/N which can be obtained by removing the stereo from the car, i can get hold of the Radio code.
I tried asking my mechanic to do that for me. But he is reluctant. He says he doesnot do such work. I mean i dont understand why.
I just wanted to know as to which type or mechanic will help me doing this. Any suggestions will be very helpful.

The stealership should be able to look it up via the car's VIN number. Try researching it on the internet as well, certain models may have a database where you can input the VIN and come up with the code.

A car audio place would be able to do such work. Usually it's a DIY thing, though.
