We have out of town guests coming in soon....all with different arrival times. Does anyone have a good shuttle/taxi/limo company that they would recommend? In Chicago, the limos and taxis were about the same price and a shuttle was a shared ride that could take extra long with multiple stops. We have one person coming in very late and just need a one way to our house in HS. How much would it cost? Any input would be great!!

I've only taken a taxi. But there is a private service I see there a lot called White Horse that's a limo service. Google them and I'll bet you'll find them.

Sorry, I was in a rush when I posted the link. I've used the company I linked to both to and from the airport from Morrisville, and it worked out to be a bit less than $20. Holly Springs will be a bit more, obviously, but hopefully still reasonable.

The whole process was painless. For pick up at the house, called them an hour or so before we needed them there and they showed up consistently a few minutes early. Coming back from the airport there's always a small line but I've never waited more than 10 or 15 minutes to get a car even during holidays or at weird hours.

I've always used the airport taxi and extremely pleased. I live in Preston and it's always been less than $20; I pay the man $20 including tip.

Have you measured the distance to your place in Holly Springs?

I'm trying to find an airport shuttle that will take us to RDU from our home in Chapel Hill and back again in 3 weeks. I don't want to do long-term parking because 3 weeks is just too long, and I don't want to call a cab and then have the hassle of waiting in line for another cab when we get back exhausted from an overseas flight. In short, I want a clean, air-conditioned vehicle large enough for 3 of us and a lot of luggage, with a safe driver who will meet us on our return. Most of the local limo companies seem to charge by the hour instead of having a set rate to and from the airport from specific cities. I would expect to pay $70-$100 round trip for this. Any suggestions? There does seem to be an open business niche here for this sort of thing...

Seems like White Horse is the only one that offers customised service as you describe. I'm just not sure of the pricing. But I know that they're professional.

I called a company from chapel hill, I can't remember the company name but the guy arrived just in time at 4AM, he charged me just $80 on a round trip, I've still got his phone number because I want to use it in the future, I hope it will work for you.

White Horse is fantastic. The drivers are all great people and really know the city. Highly recommended.
