I totally know what you mean. I prefer to wear sandals & sundresses in the summer here because it's so warm, but if I'm going to an office or restaurant, I always have to take a sweater with me so I won't freeze to death in the sub-zero cold of the AC!

This isn't unique to NC, of course. I've experienced it in multiple states & I just don't get it.

I agree! I lived in Houston for a few years. Before I moved there, I read that it was the "most air-conditioned city" in the country. After I moved there, I realized they meant that the AC was kept colder there than anywhere else, not that more buildings were air-conditioned. It was awful!
