Default Chapel Hill K-5 summer programs info needed

Hi,

We're moving to the Golden Triangle area too and wanted to know of some great summer programs i.e. soft ball, basket ball and swim camps, science camps, music and dance classes. Summer activities for 7,8,9 yearolds basically. I already checked out the Planetarium and it is a definate option but I would love to have more info. Also if anyone is familiar with any public summer school programs that would be great. Tks!

Take a look at Carolina Parent magazine (they are online as well as having a print magazine). They list every camp in the area, although many will be full--most started sign ups in Feb. or so. I don't know about public school programs.

Does Chapel Hill have a Parks and Rec department (or something similar)? I know in Raleigh and Cary, the kids can take all kinds of neat classes this summer through the town.
