Does anyone know about this? I have relatives (senior citizens) who have lived in Apex for about three years, and just this week the electric company sent people around reconnecting load control devices that homeowners had disconnected. My relatives didn't even know about it.
Less than 24 hours later, their A/C shut off for nearly 40 minutes (around 5:30pm). It got to be over 80 inside their house. This doesn't seem right - I remember having a voluntary load control program in Carrboro or Chapel Hill in the 90s and it only ever went off for 10 minutes at a time, rolling around the area. How often does Apex Electric do this? Is 40 minutes normal? Thanks in advance. |
