Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights are going to be the busier nights downtown. But if you are bored during the week, you can usually find something coming on somewhere down there. For instance, there are live trivia nights at different places on different nights (off the top of my head Napper Tandy's on Tuesday, The Hook Up MarinaBar on Wednesday, but there are more). And there are places that have live music during the week - The Pour House, Lincoln Theater, etc.
