Default Looking for Part Time work Ideas

Looking for Ideas-not a Job!

My husband and I plan to relocate our family to the area in the near future, likely buying in Clayton but will rent in Cary/Morrisville for a while. I am currently a stay at home mom and really don't want to work but I may need to at least for a little while. Ideally I would like to work weeknights and possibly one weekend morning. I never finished school but I earned enough credits to more than fulfill an associates. I would like to earn at least $10/per hour. I'm not opposed to waiting tables and I really dislike retail. But I would like to do something with set hours and set wages...Any ideas? Oh and even better would be something from home, perhaps a telecommuting type gig??

UPS and Fedex Express offer part time work with benefits. If loading/unloading trucks is to physical for you, loading/unloading the planes is a little less physical. They also have clerical/customer counter type work.

craigslist.com has pt opps. go to jobs, nc, and look there. Do you have children? Child care may be an option, or work at home opps are options. You can try ratracerellion, workplacelikehome or workathomemom websites for ideas! good luck!

American Airlines has a reservations center here and according to their web site they are taking resumes. I'm not sure what the hourly rate is, but I have heard you can work from home sometimes.

You will be able to do just about anything here. Almost every store or restaurant you walk by has a help wanted sign in it. I am sure you can work something out.

Starbucks is famous for having "mothers hours", decent hourly wage and even benefits for part timers.

I'll second Starbucks. That is a fun place to work and they do have benefits.
