I recently bought 3 fabric roller shades from an (expensive!) catalog store and one is already broken. I'm not too thrilled with the roller factor and would like to turn them into flat-fold Roman shades. I called the store and explained what I wanted, but it went like something straight out of a Carol Burnett skit, so I gave up.

Does anyone know of any businesses in the Triangle that might be able to do this sort of work? I need to have a binding edge sewn on and was thinking of taking it to my upholsterer for that. But to turn it into a blind with the appropriate hardware? I'm stumped.

Does anyone know if Joanne's, Michael's, or the Mill Outlet might sell hardware to do this myself?

Could I possibly ask any more questions?! :-)

Thanks.
