I have had the same problem with AT&T. It happens about once a week it seems. There are certain people who always (well, 3 out of 3 times) get my voicemail when calling me instead of it ringing through to me.

When I first moved here from CA I had a CA area code and # for a while and had problems. After I switched over to a local # AND UPGRADED MY CELL SOFTWARE TO A LOCAL TOWER ALL THE PROBLEMS WENT AWAY.
Do not go to a verizon store to do this as they will CHARGE YOU - CALL VERIZON CUST SERVICE ( 800 # ) AND HAVE THEM WALK YOU THROUGH IT FOR FREE.

Thanks everyone. I did the change over to exchange 919, but it didn't make a difference. I am getting a new free phone with the Verizon new every two deal so we'll see. I have 30 days to see if the new phone makes a difference or if it's the service.
