Default Different type of relocation advice

Okay, so I already live in Raleigh (near Knightdale), but I work out in Durham at the top of RTP. I am looking to move closer to work to cut down the over 60 miles I drive a day. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions, but not Durham. I don't really want to live here.

I have looked at Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and Morrisville. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I am renting and looking to spend no more than 800/month. (I think that is why I haven't found anything in Cary!)

Thanks!

There are some affordable rental communities along Church Street in Morrisville , which is about 5 minutes drive into RTP.Depending on the size of apartment you need, you may be able to find something within your budget.

A one bedroom would work, but it can't be too small. I actually found one in Chapel Hill that was 935 square feet, but it is right on 15/501. I think 700sqft would be too small, but I would have to see it to see.

thanks ssm28, I will look there

Just taking a quick glance at the rentals listed on MLS in the Morrisville area, I see Hamlet in The Park at $850 per month and The Groves at $995 per month and Twin Lakes Townhouse at $1,095 per month. I'm afraid this area tends to be quite pricey for rentals, as well as sales.

You may want to try Craigslist.

Vicki

IIRC, there were some more affordable apartments in Cary off of Harrison/Maynard area (Hidden Oaks, Woodbridge, etc). Some of the apartments off of Morrisville Parkway might be in that price range as well, although they may not have your desired square footage.
