Hubby had gone to a Ruth Chris' in Dallas and had to go to the one here when it opened. I was not impressed with the food nor the service.
Sullivans has great steaks and fairly good service. Believe it or not, they are owned by Lone Star. Same steaks but much cheaper!
Angus Barn wins my vote. I've never had a bad meal there. Never had bad service there. Its just the best! Its been in Raleigh way before I came here in the 70s and will continue to be here. Now how many restaurants can last that long w/o being wonderful?

So this Sullivans' is cheaper then Lone Star and owned by them? Okay, I am confused....Is this place a high end steak house or what?

The Montana Grill (Ted Turner's) was not bad when I had dinner there last month. It's not cheap but I thought it was great value for the quality of food and service. Added plus is that they serve bison.
But my favorite steak place in NC is Manzetti's in Charlotte.
I've fallen in love with The Peddler Steak House! It's hidden away over on Glenwood, you should try their steaks... Mmmmmm!
Another one of my favorites! Vicki
