I know the Taco Bell in that area closed down a while ago after getting scathing grades from the state on hygeine. It's since reopened. Maybe these other places are going through the same "upgrading."
I would just hit some other places, Southpoint isn't that far, and there are some good ethnic places in the strip malls near that intersection.
