Default Johnson's Landing in Angier good, bad, ugly?

Does anyone have any information on the Johnson's landing subdivision in Angier with respect to quality and energy efficiency of the homes there, or information on the builders Davidson and Jones? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know anything about the homes. I've passed by some of them on my way to the nurseries there. Some are a bit too close to the water and the main road. The neighborhood is also right across the street from a private airport.

Everything I read here on this board leds me to never want to live in Angier. You might want to do a search on the town here on City-Data to see what others are saying about it.

This is my first post on this site Kelly.
I happen to live at Johnsons Landing and find your comments rather harsh considering you know nothing about this sub devision. I own one of the homes on the 'water' and thats why I bought the lot, as to the road, it is nice and convenient and I do not hear the traffic. As to the small airport, I enjoy watching the planes take off and land when ever they do, which is seldom, sometimes days go by without any traffic on the air strip it is usualy just on weekends, the prime purpose of the airport is for pilots who like to have a place to gather with like minded people.
As to Angier. I have lived here for over 30 years, it is a small farm town that has no real need or desire to grow and the residents like it that way.
If someone is looking for a nice place to live that is quiet, friendly and close to a town that has shops, resturants etc Angier is ideal.
I have Food Lion just down the road, banks and drug stores without having to fight all the traffic of Fuquay Varina.
Personaly I would HATE to live in Cary, maybe that is the kind on place you are used to and looking for, but please don't knock what you yourself said "I don't know anything about the homes" I am very proud of mine.

Sorry if you felt my comments were harsh, but they were just my observations. Thanks for your post. I was just trying to help someone out who was looking for information. As you see there are very few posts on this thread. I figured some info was better than none. Everyone has different opinions and I'm sure the original poster will be glad to get a different one from you.

I think Angier is just the mailing address to that subdivision anyway. I believe its the Johnston County area of Angier that has the more "rural" reputation. That particular subdivision is in the Wake County area and would be more associated with Fuquay or Holly Springs.

Newmom,
You are quite right. We have an Angier address but are in Wake Co,. The sub div., came under Angier because they provided the utilitys. I do have my house for sale, but that is due to it being a two story and I had to have hip replacement surgery and must move into a ranch style home.

I appreciate your attitude Kelly, thanks.

I love that airport! Seems like a nice neighborhood as well. Sunny Sky's Ice cream is close by as well!
