Default House Rental vs. Apartment Rental

My husband and I are doing the short term rental thing when we move down this Spring (3-6 months). Is it advisable to rent in an apartment complex run by big management, or in a privately owned home?

Also - anyone hear of Treybrooke Apartments in Morrisville?

Thanks!

Default There are not too many...

houses that can be rented short term. Usually you have to do the yardwork, too. An apartment should be the easiest thing and there are many to choose from. I do not know that particular complex, but there are apartment finders on the internet and apartment ad books I (or one of the other realtors on this forum) could send to you, if you wish. They have rental fees, lease terms etc.

Agree with Houselady,

We are a family of 5 and when we sold our house here and started building a new one in the next town over, we had hoped to rent a house for 6 months....

No one was willing to take a 6 month lease on a home....

We ended up renting a "corporate apartment" and it has worked out well enough. It is really 2 apartments stuck together, but at 1500 sq feet gave us enough room to spread out a little bit and store most of our stuff.

I think you will have more luck finding a short term apartment rental....
