Does anyone know what plans might be in store for the closed Kroger store on 55/High House in Apex? I heard a nasty rumor that a laser tag facility might open there.

Still nothing unfortunately .. looks as if the building is still for sale, unless anyone knows anything more?

I reside in Turner Creek, about 3 miles from there. Please God no, tell me you are joking?
As much as I'd love to see a Wegmann's, I wouldn't count on it. The closest location is in Woodbridge, VA and according to their website, they're opening one in Fredericksburg in June 2009. They also say on their website "Today, we have stores in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia and Maryland, with no plans at the moment to expand beyond those five states"
I would think they'd need to have some stores closer to here (Richmond, Virginia Beach) before opening one up in the Triangle.
i might be missing something, but what's wrong with laser tag (other than that i thought it was a fad in the late 90s)? that'd be fun! but at 26, i might be a little out of place
No laser tag .. and in fact nothing at all Store's been closed now for well over a year .. besides the difficult commercial real estate market, any idea if anything is going on with that site that's inhibiting a new tenant moving in?
There are no fun kid/immature adult places in the west Cary/Apex area other than playgrounds and a bounce house, which are just for little kids. There's already probably a half dozen grocery stores in the immediate area. Really, how much food do you need?
