You are correct that most of the nightlife is on the West side of downtown between Glenwood South and the Warehouse district.

Agreed - you've posted some of my favorite places, especially White Collar Crime. Another place to check out is Oliver Twist. The Oliver Twist Lounge This is also a very cool place.

Every city that I've lived in and subsequently clubbed in, silicon attachments were the norm not the exception.
My friend and myself went to Glenwood on Sat night. That was my first time going and it was ok. We went to Hi-5 and Red Room. We enjoyed ourselves. I don't like the smoking and I haven't been to a lounge/club that allowed smoking in years. I'll prolly check Glenwood out again as well as Warehouse district. Overall, I'm more like, meh based on what I've seen but it wasn't bad.

Try Mosaic on the corner of Glenwood and Jones if you prefer non-smoking. It's also a pretty cool bar/lounge with a nice vibe. Also, the soon to open "Tobacco Road" sports bar at 222 Glenwood is currently polling their future patrons via their website to determine if they'd prefer 100% smoke free. How ironic that a sports bar named Tobacco Road could end up smoke free in North Carolina! But, I digress..... As of last Friday, about 80% of poll takers were telling them to go completely smoke free. So, there is hope for those of us who want more nightlife options with clean air.
As for the silicon women, I think that the lack of it in our women speaks highly for them.

I like the smoke-free option!! Thanks!!
I'll definitely check these places the next time I visit. I'm hoping my relocation occurs in the VERY near future. It definitely sounds like the Triangle area has some cool places. Wish I would've done more research last week when I was there.

There is lots of great nightlife every day of the week. I'm most familiar with Raleigh. We really like the Pour House--which has a great bands plus a huge selection of beer on tap. Two pool tables on the second floor which looks over the stage below.
Also, on Sundays, Deep South The Bar hosts a great acoustic music series starting at 8:30. They've hosted Vienna Teng, Tres Chicas and other great acts Welcome to Deep South The Bar You can't eat there (except for a few snacks and they serve chips and salsa during the weekdays) but its a great place to toss a few back. They recently started opening at 4:30 on weekdays and they have patio seating--which is great b/c Raleigh needs more outdoor options.
