Photos of Oakbrook in Hope Valley Farms
Hi all,
It's a pretty day and my wife is out of town, leaving me spare time to kill. So, I decided to go take some photos of the Oakbrook section of Hope Valley Farms in SW Durham. We just bought a house in this neighborhood-within-a-subdivision and will be closing on July 7.
As I mentioned in another thread, I liked this area because it's got mature trees and has a similar vibe to Woodcroft, which we love. But, it's in the Jordan HS/Hope Valley Elementary district, which was appealing to us. So, good combination.
Hopefully the photos show okay on the forum. I'm doing them as attachments, which I think isn't as good as embedding them from a URL. But, it'll have to do!
Also, I think I'm going to have to separate them into two posts.
Enjoy!
Gary

Here are the rest of the photos from Oakbrook. Some of these are of the Hope Valley Farms clubhouse, which is actually across Roxboro from the Oakbrook neighborhood. But, I thought it might be of interest to some readers.

Thanks, NRG. It is a great area. We were happy to find the right house for us there.

Good stuff - we looked some in HVF but one thing that makes it tough is that MLS won't sort by sub-neighborhoods there so unless you know the streets, everything is just listed as HVF

I know what you mean. The map search feature on the Fonville Morisey website became our friend. It's not like the other areas of HVF are unpleasant. They just don't have the same tree situation, and that's really appealing. Of course, the houses in that section of HVF are little more expensive, so those trees will cost you a little bit. But, we decided it was worth it.

Sure, no problem. Take a look at this google map.
oakbrook durham nc 27713 - Google Maps
Oakbrook the neighborhood emcompases Oakbrook Drive, which is a circle that meets Roxboro in two places, as well as Longwood, Broookstone and Pinebrook (too many streets sounding same!!). It feels larger in person than it looks on a map. In fact, it looks like there are 120 houses in Oakbrook on the map provided on the HOA site ( http://www.hopevalleyfarms.org/HVFOAKB.GIF)
