Hi, I have been reading this forum for some time and enjoy all the wonderful things you all offer.

SOOO, I am in the process of moving from manhattan back to the triangle where I have lived on and off for 15 years. I have a really serious problem and I want to be sure that it doesn't come with me back home.

I have (ready, ewww!) bedbugs. It's a serious problem here, although my employer laughed when I told her. She thinks I am "country" because everyone here has bedbugs! Well, I can't handle it.

My slum landlord is not going to treat this damned place, and I need a plan so as not to take these blood sucking demons with me to my new home. I have one month to try and get the problem under control.

Things I have done thus far:
- bought a steamer
-washed and ziploc'd my clothing
-moved everything into the middle of the space, whatever space there is!
-bagged all clothing i want to take and thrown everything else out

Can anyone recommend a good PCO in the triangle? I need professional help about creating a plan of action. Up here they have dog sniffers, truck fumigation, heat treatments, etc.

I don't think bedbugs are that serious there, and i need a company that knows what i am dealing with. Any suggestions are welcomed...

Why would you need an inspection? If they are there, they bite and you know it.

I thought any regular exterminator could get rid of bed bugs (that is at least what they said on the news during some trouble shooter story).

Yeesh I've heard it's major up there now, thank God I didn't have them when I lived here.

Definitely trash the mattress and buy new here. I have no exterminator recommendation

when you get here, buy a mattress from 'the original mattress factory'. they are much less expensive than other stores and made on premises so less chance of icky storage issues. we've used both the glenwood and the spring forest places and they are great.
