Hi everyone, im brand new to the forum. My name is Kyle and im from a small town of 5,000 about 45 minutes out of Cleveland. My girlfriend and I are ready to get out of this cold climate and move somewhere warm, safe, and full of jobs. We wanted to live on the coast, but Im not about to lose everything I own over a hurricane, especially if it can be avoided. We decided that the Raleigh area is where we think we want to be. We're in our early 20's so school systems, low crime rate, attractions within driving distance are important to us. I need your help on the best area (low crime) to live. We were looking at Apex, Holly Springs, North Raleigh, Cary, and Morrisville. Also if you can leave names of good apartments in these areas, that would be awesome, thanks in advance everyone.

My daughter lived in Autumn Winds Apts in north Raleigh for several years before she bought a house. The rent was something like $750.00 per month. And the apartment was perfect for a single or a couple. The biggest fault I found with the apartment was she was on the third floor with no elevator. When I went to visit her when she was living there, by the time I got to the third floor landing, I need oxygen. Of course I have asthma and she doesn't. But it was a really nice apartment.
