Certain Goodberrys are open until 11am.....as are most of the bars :-)
I honestly think things around here close too early myself as well. It's also annoying looking to go to places on a Sunday and seeing them closed as well....especially the ones that close at 5 or 6 during the week.
In downtown Raleigh, the Borrough, Times Bar, Humble Pie, Poole's and others stay open WAY late and serve real, not fast or chain, food. Plus you can get a cocktail. For coffee, I think Helio's is open late too.

Yeah if we were into the bar scene it wouldnt be such a big deal! The thing is that neither of us drink at all so when we want to go somewhere late in the evening, we usually want something like coffee or ice cream

Thanks for the recommendation for Gypsy's! We tried it the other night and it was very good. Nice to know there is somewhere open until midnight during the week and 24 hours on the weekends.
I agree this area lacks non-bar type places that stay open late enough. 10pm - midnight would probably do it...I'm not even asking for something open 24hrs. But something non Waffle House or Denny's...more like a Starbucks or Panera but open late...within 1 mi of my house! ;-)
burger king is open 24 by the wal-mart in holly springs!
