Driving down Page Road in RTP today (I think it was still RTP at that point) I see they are constructing a huge building. It is for the world headquarters of Quintiles. The sign says 1000 new career opportunities are available. How great is that? It's amazing how companies keep expanding here, even during a struggling national economy. One more example of how strong our local economy is.
Yes they are here already. If you have a science background then you can work for them. If not....well....
Well that is just not true. I have friends who work there in IT, Finance and Marketing. None of them have any type of science background.
They are consolidating some of the departments from across the country as well as expanding on their communications "company" from NY. It will be a good move for the Triangle.
Quintiles headquarters is already here. In fact, is was originally founded in Chapel Hill by a UNC professor. I worked there as a contractor for a year; tluv00 is correct, you do not need a science background for a large majority of the positions.

I am wondering if that was the USA Headquarters and now this is the World Headquarters. That's a lot of jobs they are offering.
No, it is the international headquarters that is already here.
Then why the huge new building and why 1000 more jobs? Are they doing that good?
