Sena, we went by your house yesterday and it looks great. I can't believe how fast it went up. I like the lots there. The back is really nice.

There are so many sold lots. It's amazing they can sell so many each month even with the slow down.

Thanks, J!

I chose the lot because of the back and the fact my front faces a street and not a house. Looking at the view from my breakfast room/living room/master bedroom/deck (the back of the house) is breath-taking! I really bought that lot because of the view and now I'm glad I did. True I can only see trees, but it's still peaceful. I didn't realize my yard would be so big, though.

I just went by today during lunch and I am so amazed at how fast everything has started coming together. I told them I want to close August 20 (don't want to break my lease), but the house will be finished June 29. I'll have to stalk it every weekend until I close. That's okay, I can figure out my paint colors!

When I went by I caught an error with my cabinet pulls. I wanted a different pull in the kitchen than the desk/laundry room, but they were sent the pull for the desk/laundry to put in the kitchen. They're going to correct it right away (probably tomorrow). I think it's awesome how quickly the Centex team fixes any problems that may arise -- I also like how they answer all of my questions (no matter how small). Since I go there every weekend (and sometimes during the week), you'd think they'd get tired of me. If they do, they don't say so!

The area is filling up rather quickly; there are only 6 home sites for the Sovereign series left (at least I think it was 6; it was definitely less than 10). Four of those sites are on my side street and back to greenery. Of the ones left, I think lot 206 is a really good lot. The trees are far enough back that you won't have to worry about them being too close to the house. Lot 205 is good, too (it has an easement that separates it from lot 204), but I think the trees are going to be a little closer to the house -- at least it looks like it from the street. Not that trees are a bad thing!

Okay, we went out to the house last night and it's coming along nicely. They installed some of the appliances and fixtures in most of the bathrooms and kitchen. No wood floor or carpet yet, but it's coming. The guy was there last night installing the kitchen backsplash, which is looking nice! My front door is this really cool-looking maroon color (it's called Merlot) and it really pops against the stone on the house. I'm getting so excited now! I have to go back either tonight or tomorrow night, so I can make sure the cook top is gas. I was so excited last night I forgot. We won't close until August 20, but that's only a couple of months away and I am so excited I can barely contain myself!

I was going to go out today and take pictures to post, but it started raining. Since there aren't any lights in the house, I have to rely on sunlight. I hope it doesn't rain tomorrow! We'll see, but pictures are definitely coming; I'm too excited not to!

Default (Partial) Pictures of my house!

Okay, as promised, I am posting some pictures of my house. We went yesterday, but the electrician was upstairs, so we could only take pictures of the first floor. Hopefully the pictures look as good as it does in person!

Okay, I'm not sure what happened to the other pictures I posted, but I'll re-post tonight (they all showed up last night!).

Looks great, Sena. I've enjoyed watching your house go up. They took their time doing your stone!
