Default Need Honda Mechanic recommendations North Raleigh

I have a '96 Honda Civic that has a bunch of repairs needed. I've only been in the area for about 1.5 years and have no idea where the most reputable foreign car repair shops are. I'm located in North Raleigh, corner of Strickland and Falls/Northridge area. Anybody have some good recommendations for me? thanks

MPG Automotive - works only on Honda and Toyota manufactured vehicles. Located between Spring Forest and Millbrook near Capital Blvd. Good about telling you which repairs you need to make now and which can wait.

If you are willing to go to Durham then I definitely recommend this place (link leads you to the Wasp Automotive website). My husband has a '99 Honda Civic and he really loves this place. They do a great job and the prices are very reasonable. They don't do any unnecessary work just so that they can charge you more.

Sounds like you might have had a bad experience there, but my neighbor has been going to MPG for years with no issues and he's pretty fussy about his cars and who works on them.

I've seen detailed inspection reports written by MPG and they are pretty thorough.
My neighbor buys a lot of used older Toyota's and Honda's and he takes them to MPG for inspection before he will buy them.

Also depending on the age of a vehicle and the part required, sometimes all you can get is used or rebuilt parts when new parts are no longer available from the manufacturer, or installing used or rebuilt parts is more cost effective when the new part repair cost exceeds a reasonable percentage of the vehicle's wholesale value.

I agree with the WASP recommendation. Yes, it is a bit further than staying just in North Raleigh.

Not in North Raleigh, but absolutely absolutely recommend Troy Wheeler;

located off I-40 at Jones Sausage.

Very good, very honest.

A second for TAO Auto on Capital. I refuse to go to Honda dealers and took my 97 Civic there last year and was thoroughly impressed with their service.
