Default Software jobs?

I read somewhere (maybe here?) that Raleigh was a good city for finding IT jobs. Do these jobs include software programming positions? My husband is a software developer, and currently working from home. We'd like to move to NC, but want to make sure we are in a place, that if his current job fell through in the future, that he would be able to easily find other work (without having to move again). Would Raleigh be a good place for us?

Thanks.

My brother in law is also a programmer - he telecommutes from his company in new hampshire. They decided to move to the triangle (they were originally living in greensboro, and he got the job in new hampshire) because he felt like it was the best area for him to be if he needed to find a new job! Here is a link to the companies in RTP, and there are a number of companies that need programmers. I think people tend to have more success contacting the companies directly rather than going through job search engines.

This may help you some. Let me know if you have more questions.
