Does anyone know or a store that handles papers from out or town? I am specifically looking for Long Island NY's Newsday.

Thanks

Larger Barnes & Noble's sometimes do, but not the small papers. Usually the big ones from metro areas like DC or Philly.

I've never seen that one at the Visart Newsstand, but they do carry quite a few, and I think can special-order for you. (919) 929-4584

You're very welcome. I'll assume the online version won't work for you? http://www.newsday.com/

You could try the NCSU Library...sometimes they have a larger selection of newspapers.

We had our local paper delivered here for a year (weekend only & much more expensive). It was nice to get news from home as we transitioned to calling Raleigh home. Call your old paper and ask if they will mail it to you.

Default Thanks all

I haven't been back here in a while, so I will try to cover all the replies I have received.

welovedurham & nclover & jqpublic,, I've tried the libraries and Newsday does not want to be bothered with sending ONE paper as a subscription.

Dragonfly (again!!!) I do look online. but I tend to be a bit old-fashioned with newspapers, I like to actually HOLD 'em. Newsday also has a "print" edition available online. That is, the paper AS IT APPEARS IN PHYSICAL FORM, using Adobe, but that is only available for actual subscribers on Long Island.

So, thanks everyone, guess I'll have to go with electronic substitutions.

Keith
