There is a Red Robin in Wake Forest too - on Capital Blvd. just south of Hwy 98. The burgers were okay - they serve everything on paper plates. The fries were pretty good. A lot of kids, balloons, etc... a kid friendly place. all they needed was a clown..

He's not a clown, but many times the "Red Robin" is in the restaurant meeting and greeting the kids.

All great suggestions! I will definitely check out these places to see if I can find online menus (always good to be prepared with little ones in tow!) Red Robin is always a good option when in a bind, so it's good to know that they are close by in both areas. If the kids cooperate, I was hoping to try out some of the more "local" family dining options. Is it terrible that I try to plan dining options beforehand? I'm giving myself a vacation from my diet the week we are traveling, so I'm almost as excited for the food choices as I am to be visiting NC! LOL!

Re: Namolis in Apex....we have called them twice to order and both times we were asked to hold. They set the phone down and walked away....both times we waited more than 5 minutes on hold. We could hear the employees joking around right next to the phone! We hung up and ordered elsewhere.
