Best BBQ Restaurants
My girlfriend and I just moved down here from Michigan. We're dying to try a great BBQ Restaurant. I'm sure there are a ton of local places. I heard there was something really well known in Durham. Any suggestions on any?

Backyard BBQ Pit on 55 in Durham has, by far, the best BBQ I have found! It's a dive, but the food is divine!
Keep in mind, all BBQ joints close on Sundays.

I think the place you are thinking of in Durham is Bullock's. It has been some years since I've been there, but it is very well known.
Allen & Son in Chapel Hill is also very well regarded for NC BBQ.

Qshack in Durham is also quite good. So are the sides (sweet potatoe fries, fried okra, etc...).
Allen and Son is probably the best in the triangle for pure NC BBQ though.
Anyone try that newer place I think it's near the Wal-Mart in Durham?

I have yet to check it out, but I have heard good things about Clyde Cooper's BBQ in downtwon Raleigh on Davie Street. I think it has been around a Loong time!

Yeah, I've only driven by once since I got back into town. I didn't have high hopes.
Stick to Bullocks, Allen and Son's, Dillard's, and Qshack with a little bit of Danny's thrown in and you'll be good to go.
