The homes near the Triangle Town center and north are very nice. I just think the recent activities at the Triangle Town Center are forming incorrect opinions.

I think the Midtown/North Hills area and up Six Forks Rd and to the east a west a bit, is a great place. Convenient to everything and if you are in just the right spot, within easy walking or biking distance to shops, grocery, coffee shops and some great eateries. I'm about five minutes from North Hills in what I call the heart of Old North Raleigh since Wakefield Plantation is now the northern boundry for North Raleigh. I love the convenience of being no more than 15 minutes from most of the things I like to do.

"Young" yes, single not so much. Family oriented.... not at all ... Are there any other "hot spots" that have everything close?

I visited charlotte and their downtown area, had wining, dining and grocery stores within walking distance. I dont expect that here, but I would like something similar. Where bars and nightlife are fairly (not to close) to me.

Thank you everyone for allowing me to peer into how Raleigh is.
