Default Senior apartments

Just thinking ahead here...we are hoping to move to the area sometime in the next year. My mother will be selling her house in NE Ohio and moving here as well. She is 67 and in good health. Based on the timing, she may sell her house first and move to the Raleigh area before we can sell our house and move. She would probably need to rent an apartment until we get there and buy a larger house together.

Does anyone have any experiences with Senior Citizen apartments in the area? We will be visiting in November and would like to check some out different complexes while we are in town. Anywhere to steer away from?

Thanks!
