Affordable short term rentals in Durham, Chapel Hill, or Hillsborough? (house, roofing)

I know we've had a ton of threads on this but I'm specifically looking in those three areas...my complex is not keen on short term rentals and is basically looking to (insert expletive here) me when my lease is up at the end of October.

Not sure how long I'll be in the area so would like no more than a 6-month lease...

Can you recommend a complex? Old is fine - I'm big on soundproofing and trees. I'd much rather rent a house but I don't think I can rent a house for 6 months. Thanks!
