without being controversial, what have the French done for the world in recent years other than suck up to tinpot dictators? give me Freedom Fries rather than French Fries any day

maybe all the French refugees here understand the sentiment and are keeping their heads down

but then I am English and we have spent a 1000 years at war with France !!

My neighbor and beloved friend is French born and bred (very cultured and well educated) and although she became a US citizen in 1954, she is still French to the core. She is lonely and would like to have conversation in French. She used to teach at the advanced adult level. She does not have a computer so please contact me if you are interested. A lot of first generation Lebanese in the triangle also speak French, I am one of them. For a quick verification, you can go to the Lebanese restaurant called Aladdin's Eatery (located at the corner of Six Forks & Lynn in North Raleigh, behind Winston's grill), walk to the owner/manager Tom (or waiter Zee) and start a conversation in French
