My husband and I were thinking of going with Block and Associates for our rental home when we move down there in October. We're starting to question this decision because, although they say they are relocation specialists, they don't seem to be willing to do anything more than take your app. fee and point you to websites.

Moderator cut: no consumer complaints as per the terms of service

So I was wondering if anyone else has delt with them and what you think. Perhaps I got the one bad egg on a bad day.

You may want to go with a smaller firm. I don't want to violate any rules.

We just moved out of a Block and Associates rental. They were great about returning our calls quickly when we expressed an interest and are in the contract process. No one did a walk through with us when we moved in. The carpet and walls were dirty, there were large nail holes in the walls, the yard had trash in it and the grass had not been mowed in months. They agreed to reimburse us if we painted we have yet to see that money. When they began showing the house the leasing agent became rude and demanding. We were expected to have the house ready for showing at any time. They require the carpet be professionally cleaned using their recommended carpet cleaning company.
Just after we began to move out a water pipe froze and broke. After numerous calls to the leasing agent and maintenance department it took two weeks to convince them that we did not have water to the house. Consequently, we were not able to clean the house before our lease expired.

They appear to be the largest relocation and home rental company in the area. We have our house listed as a rental with them right now and it's been a fight to get them to return phone calls and to have the home pics put on the website. I would not recommend them.

I have to agree with the negative opinions of Block and Associates. They are a bit unprofessional. First, they are terrible at returning calls. I had sold my home and had a short time frame to find a rental. It was like pulling teeth to have them return my call. I also agree that they are transparent in their desire to get you to put in an offer regardless of whether the house fits your needs.
Work with a realtor. They are aware of rentals in the area.

I would have to agree with the previous posters... personal experience... I would recommend a realtor who deals with rental properties. Good Luck!

Ditto what everyone else said. I was helping my mom find a rental house a few years back and found a bunch of lisitings on their website that we wanted to see. I called several times and it took a few days before someone even called us back. She ended up going into an apartment instead.

Ditto what everyone else has said.

We had a very short time frame to find a house to rent as our house had sold. I called and left a message and the call was never returned. I didn't have time to play those games. A realtor found us a house to rent.

I can't say that I have ever heard anything GOOD. Sad to say because it does seem like they are the largest and the most well known.

Currently renting through them - they rarely ever return calls or emails.
