I'm thinking of relocating to Wake Forest. I know what the stats are, but the best information are from the people who live there, so how is Wake Forest? I'll apreciate any info about communities in Wake Forest

There are lots of good threads about the town in you want to use the search function. WF is growing in leaps...so there is lots of interest.
We've been here three years and like it more and more all the time. The schools are good, they are building a new Y (at The Factory)...different restaurants are opening up all the time, and it's close to most things in Raleigh. However, it still is very much a 'bedroom' communty....most folks work in other places.
Is there anything specific you are wondering about?
I have been in wake forest two years in may, and we moved from apex/cary. For me, the differences are vast.......I felt like I never really ran into any of the same people in apex, here in wake forest, it is small enough that I do see people out and about, which is nice. Wake forest has more of a community feel (to me) and they seem relatively concerned about growth, etc. I would recommend reading the wake weekly online (the local paper) it gives you a good feel for what is going on the town and the surrounding towns. I don't need to venture out of wake forest much, because it has all of the things I generally need (target, grocery stores, shops, etc). The mall is close (20 minutes). I think the only thing it really lacks is good restaurants (outside of the chains!). I love the downtown area, and it is very family friendly with great activities through the parks and rec department, soccer, hockey, etc.
Anyhow, I can't think of anything else you may want to know, but feel free to ask
Leigh
