Which Triangle radio stations are your favorites and why? Which station do you listen to the most?

I've been here for two months and have my dial stuck on 100.7 and just haven't reached forward enough to turn the dial yet. I suppose it is time for me to start programming some more stations in my car radio and home stereo and "expand my horizons." Myself, I like classic rock, contemporary and soft rock, jazz, some country, etc. My favorite bands are Dire Straits, Yes and Pink Floyd but I like to listen to much more than progressive rock.

Oh my gosh... I'm the only loser here who listens to country... 94.7. Before I moved here, there was no way in you know where I'd listen to country. But honestly it's one of the only good music stations. And over the past year and some, I realized that .... hey, I kinda like country.. My husband just rolls his eyes when he drives with me..

I don't listen to terrestrial radio. I've been a Sirius (satellite radio) subscriber for more than two years now. It's the best thing EVER - so many choices of stations, no corporate-dictated playlists, and best of all, no commercials. They also have lots of talk stations, as well as comedy, sports and other special programming.

It's also great for road trips - no more hunting to find a local station when you go from town to town. You can listen to the same station anywhere in the country, no matter where you are. I'm never going back to terrestrial radio again.

If you're interested, you can get a free three-day pass to listen to them over the internet, though I think they might not offer every station on the internet. I'm not sure about that, though.

I hate the radio in NC. I only listen to podcasts and my mp3s now.
