Have you looked into other sources of financing like eloan.com or www.capitalone.com/autoloans? You fill out an application online and hear back quickly if there's anything they can do for you. It's so much better to be able to walk into a dealership with your financing already secured, particularly if you're considering one of those "bad credit" type dealerships.

Default Heister in Fuquay helped me

We wree turned down for a car loan and were worried because the car we bought from Carmax kept breaking down. We had bad credit and didn't know where to turn. Garrett at Heister in Fuquay got us two cars (both under warranty) after another dealership could not get us one. Good luck!

Definitely be cautious, but they CAN be worthwhile. I used one in CA when my credit wasn't good enough to get any sort of regular financing.

But don't go to them hoping to rebuild your credit. Many will not report your on-time payments to the credit bureaus, but they WILL report any late pays.

After buying my first brand new car I'll never do it again. It's just not worth it to have a car payment for 5 years. Save up and buy a slightly used car with cash. It's amazing how much cars drop in value. They lose 40% of their value in 4 years. I'd rather have no car payment and have to pay out of pocket to fix things, than automatically have to pay $300-$400 a month in payments.

it's never a good idea to buy a brand new car because then you've paid all that money and then have to take the depreciation hit too- its better to buy a 3 or 4 year old car and that way 1. someone else has already paid for some of the bigger maintenance items 2. lots of the tsb items may have already been taken care of and 3. somenoe else has to take that depr. hit, not you!

all that being said, if you're going to get a newer car, get one that's worthwhile so you don't plunk a lot of money into it. while lots of dealers have appealing ads and deals right now, they're often on crappy cars that you'll have to pay out a lot in the long run for.

Try Creech Auto's Chreechautosales.com They are a christian company that has been around since the early 80's if I remember correctly. You will need to put a down payment down between $700-$1100. then have a car payment for only 10 months to a year. Yes the cars are used but you can get a nice one. They are in Clayton.

Might try my plan.

Buy a new car but get a stripped base model.

You save a bunch and get a clean history car with a full warranty.

Has worked for my last 3 cars.
