The house on N. Devimy went into foreclosure and was sold at auction in August. The highest bidder was Aurora Loan Services (owner and holder of original note) and bought it for $345K.

It is all negotiable. Some will tell you to do all inspections prior to submitting an offer, i.e., investing money before knowing if you can even have a deal.

A thousand people can tell you their opinion, but in NC, we don't have a legal definition of "As-is."
"As is/Where is" meaning is wide open to interpretation, and can even mean title deficiencies, or at least not rule them out.

I've never watched the show, but a friend came over the other day and told me she would swear she saw our house on the show a while back. We bought the house in April of this year. The seller is a local realtor. I guess there could be another house that looks like us in Cary.

Mike

There was an episode of House Hunters filmed in Apex a few years ago at the same time we were about to move there from Raleigh. Interestingly enough it was a single guy probably in his early 30's...not the typical Apex homebuyer. He ended up with a nice house that looked to me like it was probably either in Scotts Mill or Dogwood Ridge.

This episode was just on again. House is now down to $519,900. Too bad she was so obstinate about "deserving" $575,000 for the house.
