Default Trying to relocate to Clayton!

Me and my family just visited the Clayton area, we are from New Jersey. We looked at a nice home in the Glen Laurel section. Any feedback on the schools ,neighborhood, crime. It seems like a very safe, nice area. Now if we can only sell our house in South jersey! Any feedback I would be very grateful.

cdleek-they may move your post but this question would be quicker answered in the Triangle thread. Search there for Clayton and Glen Laurel.

I've lived in Clayton for 8 years and wouldn't leave. It is very much a small town. Be careful of your commute (where will you work) and that it is 25 min to Raleigh and its amenities.

Good luck!

I love Glen Laurel! I dont live there (but I do live in Clayton) but I often drive through it. Its almost picture-perfect. Very beautiful neighborhood, extremely safe. I never realized just how big it was until I drove through it.

Everyone is super nice.

My wife and I have lived in Clayton now for 5 years (well, me 5, her 9), and we just bought another house in the area because we liked it here so much and didn't want to leave. The schools are almost all really good, don't hear a lot about crime problems, and honestly, there are just a ton of good neighborhoods. Glen Laurel, Riverwood, North Farm, etc, are all great.

Heck I didn't realize how big Clayton is nowadays (land-wise, of course) until I noticed that the city limits now stretch from down near the new 70 bypass all the way up to Riverwood!
